I also use Windex or Glass Plus to "float" the decals in place. Wait for the paint to cure for at least a week. Use lots of Windex. Float the decal in place and carefully work as much moisture out from under with your fingers. Wipe up excess liquid with a clean soft cloth. Allow to dry for about 30 minutes, and re-squeegee with your fingers once again to float out any bubbles and excess liquid. Wait another 30 minutes, and rub the decal down again.
I find that actual squeegees scratch things up.
Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers. Use single-edge razor blades to lift the decal off the backer and place it on the tractor. Otherwise, you will have an unsightly fingerprint showing through anywhere the decal is clear, and it will not stick to the tractor anywhere you touch it.
