Bob - If your tractor runs on with the ignition switch "off" and the warning light removed, either it's wired up wrong or the regulator inside the alternator is bad. Double check your wiring and let me know what you find! Bob M PS - No problem using a toggle switch in the #1 wire, so long as you remember to turn it on and off. Can also use a diode (1 amp and 50 PRV or higher rated) in place of the switch.
