I'll report here tomorrow. I load the tractor in the early AM and it's safe where it is tonight. Thanks to all for sweeper comments. Interesting unit, I will say. The bristle sweeper must be roughly 2 feet in diameter. And I guess six feet long with mechanism ability to angle the sweeper. Under and to the back of the front axle is a cast mount for a round column, (I'd say pipe but it's too husky). That column runs under the tractor to the rear end such that forward motion puts the load on the business end of the tractor rather than the front end. Now that I think about it, I believe that column also encloses a drive line to a differential just behind the sweeper. Pictures will be better.
I think the engine is dry-stuck and perhaps not too badly. After soaking via spark plug holes I guess I could rock the tractor back and forth with it in gear and hope it begins to move the pistons a bit.
