Looks like I may need one of those bull cages for our H. We tried to remove one of them to replace the seals and thought the two screw holes were used to "jack" the bull cage out of the tranny. Well after it moved about 3/8 of an inch, POP. broke off a portion of the flange between two adjacent bolt holes. I hope that we did not damage any of the bearings!! How can I tell?? Looks like the old saying "no good deed shall go unpunished" is definetly working in this case. Trying to fix the brakes, led to having to replace bull cage seals, which led to our misguided attempt at removing the housing.......... all without the benefit of a manual (which should arrive in the mail today or tomorrow). Well I don't feel so bad now that I see I have alot of company. So, how much for a bull cage?? I need the one on the left side of the tractor (as your standing at the front looking at the tractor). It is a 1941 model. Now, can somebody list the exact procedure to replace the darn thing.
