The filter on the 140 is just below the filer plug. Just remove the four cap screws on a square plate you cant miss it there is only one square plate there with four bolts in it. That plate is part of the filter and it will just pull right out. You will have to drain the oil first. Thats the first thing i do when i get a 140 or super A or C. I have two 140s and a 1975 Cub.
