thanks for the replies, the TA seems to be working fine. there was no cover for the shifting levers on the right side which has the range lever on the outside and the gear selector lever on the inside. I am not overly familar with the transmission set up on this one since the farmall 706 we have the gear is a straight slide, not like this gear selectorwhic his sliding, but has to the left and right. So this tansmission only has a low and high range then the torque amplifier for the high and low side in each gear. I this is the case the gear selector will not shift into one of the gears in either hi or low range. Possibly a shifting fork? I would like to find a diagram on the internet of the range and gear selector pattern, but I have not been able to find one. I would like to buy this tractor, but not knowing how much I would have to put into the transmission is scaring me.
