I posted and it disappeared. Excuse me if it shows again. I recently bought a 1947 model H and the guy I bought it from tricked me into checking oil level. There are two wing style plug nuts on thr right side, one higher than the other. Open the tope one and if oil comes out, oil level is full, no oil, open lower plug, if oil comes out, a quart low, no oil, need to add until oil comes out top plug. Hope this helps. I am going to learn a lot from this board as I already have. Hope this helps and is accurate information. Thanks
