The Farmall A and B and Super A water inlet connection to the block, (bottom front left hand side (from the seat) of the engine) has a plug fitting to take the temperature probe. The gauge mounts above the governor. On these tractors the probe is on the cold side on the water inlet from the bottom of the radiator, not high up in the head (Farmalls H and M) or in the connection from the block to the top of the radiator as in some other models. These tractors do not have water pumps or thermostats. The Super C has a water pump at the inlet to the block and I am not sure where the probe goes in that case, the parts book does not show a temperature gauge at all although the owners manual shows a water temperature gauge and how to read it but I cannot see where the probe goes. None of the photographs in the owners manual show a water temperature gauge. The thermostat is in the outlet from the block to the radiator. The French Super FCC and FCD have the water pump attached to the fan with the thermostat above it and again I see no reference to a temperature gauge in the parts book for either the gasoline or diesel engines.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
