Use 'em, don't abuse 'em, and you'll be just fine.
The clamp-type hubs on an 806 are its weak point. If anything that's what would break if you romp on the duals too hard. Newer wedgelock hubs are much stronger.
We ran clamp-on duals on a 1066 that had to been turning 165HP. Only thing you had to worry about was using the brakes to turn. That would cause the wedgelock hubs to slide out on the axle a little. Normally it was only an inch or so but such a pain in the wazoo to put back...
