Thanks everyone! i feel better that its probably not the T/A. But I'm still lost. It doesn't sound right for a chipped tooth. Its more of a low knock sound. Definitely in the drive train and its louder if under load like going up a hill, if just sitting its almost silent. And it wasn't there at all until about half way through the hay cutting. The field is all level and there wasn't any mishap or problem that could have put extra stress on it. So guess I'll take the top cover off and have a look. Dont suppose anyone has some pics or digrams that could be sent over the net? I'll suggest he get an IT but that'll probably be a while in coming..
