Your radiator is probably fine. Have you thought about re-coring the radiator guy?
I don't trust any of them. It must be the lead. Or maybe it's the dimly lit and grimey surroundings. You should do your own diagnostics and let them do the repair if you are unable.
Get some rubber or cork plugs and a kiddy pool. You will get a better test if you can pressurize at the drain plug with 5 psi of air. Don't let the plugs hit you in the face by accident.
