I took apart the radiator housing on my 1937 F-12 today and noticed that the radiator core (fins, etc) had red paint on it. Did the factory paint the radiator core? If so, I am assuming the radiator core and housing were assembled before painting, and the exposed core was not masked off. Any concerns about painting the fins in terms of proper heat radiation?
Also, tomorrow I plan to dismantle the steering bolster. Does anyone know what is involved in that... (tricycle) how to get the steering shaft out of the bolster. It looks like there is a collar with a set screw between the two arches. What about the steering gear - how does that come off?
