I don't know if it's the correct wire or not, but I used .041 aircraft stainless steel saftey wire on my '49 H. Check with the mechanics at your local airport. They should be able to either give/sell you enough to do the job or tell you where to get some. Normally it's sold in one pound spools. I'm not even sure if it's really necessary or not but I went ahead and saftied mine. Just make sure that whatever wire you do use that you saftey the bolts so that if the bolts try to loosten it tightens the wire. In other words, the wire should be pulling on the bolt head in a clockwise direction.
