Last year I put an overdrive in my 1929 Farmall Regular and had a great time on a couple of tractor rides. Then the other day I decided to take a little ride in the sunshine, and going up a hill I heard a brief god-awful noise and I lost the entire rear end. After pulling it home and taking off the drive shaft shield I found that the two bolts connecting the shaft from the clutch to the rear end had sheared off. I inspected everything else and could find nothing wrong. Are there special bolts that should be used to connect those two pieces, or is that designed to break understress to protect other parts? It looks like an easy fix, I just want to make sure I use the correct bolts to repair it.
