I don't often say this, Tom, But get yourself an owner's manual for your tractor. It's the most basic of the manuals available for it, is genrally devoted to maintenance. The most technical it gets has to do with timing the mag or battery distributor. There will be several pages out in the middle of it that deal with lube types and frequency, means of checking levels . . . Most of those will list capacities, either in the maintenance tables/pages, or in the specs in the last few pages with other specs. One well worth heeding relates to the battery ignition distributor. You may or may not have found zerks there. They require regular but VERY LITTLE grease, so IH left them off and put slot-head plugs in their places. If you find zerks there, do not pump grease in until they make a noise or produce grease through one gap or the other. If they do, you will have filled all or part of your distributor with grease.
