You have to split at engine and remove input shaft and pto shaft from the front to get ta out. Only thing you can do from the back before pulling front is pull out rear output shaft. Then the overrunning clutch rollers will fall out and if you were going to elminate them you could put it back together. I have done this to get rid of the overrunning clutch completely so it doesn"t hamper trans gear roll back for just having direct drive. You are replacing TA so you need complete teardown.
