IHC marketed the Farmall Super FCD and the FD235 in Europe in the late '50's. They are essentially a Super C/230 tractor with a IHC France-built 4 cylinder diesel engine.
If you could find an FCD/FD235 engine likely it would be a bolt-in swap. HOWEVER these tractors are rarer than hen's teeth in the U.S. (I was unaware they even existed until I spotted an FD235 at a show a couple years ago.) Consequently the chances of finding an FD235 engine are pretty slim.
OTOH a small 3 or 4 cylinder Kubota, Yanmar, Perkins, ThermoKing, etc. diesel could adapted to fit. Problem here is the little engines all spin faster than the original Super C gasser. You'd wind up with a speedy tractor that might not lug at slow speed like the OEM engine. (But it sure would be economical on fuel!)
