My 330U just started making scary noises, as in probably lost a rod bearing or two. I have a 404 that I bought last year, cheap, just for the tires. I have used it some this summer, but it wouldn't bother me to tear it apart, the 330 is much more useful to me.
So the question is, do they use the same block? I know that they are both basically the same engine (C-135), but I am not sure if they bolt up the same.
The 330 is still sitting right where it died, so I can't easily check it. I will go after it today or tomorrow, but I am trying to get a head start on planning possible repairs.
