From the info i have,they were built from 1962-1967. From memory,i recall that they were the first "unit-frame" construction units that IH made. They were built in Hamilton Ontario and used the BC144 gas or BD154 diesel engine.(the same as the B414 tractor)the engine and power train was made at the Doncaster works in England and shipped to Canada to be built into the 3414. Front axle was the first of the heavy cast design used in all the later IH 2 wheel drive industrial equipment. Hope this helps.
