1931 might have had a muffler-- a F20 type turns out to be same as some M's, some regulars ended up with F20 manifolds. If this is your case, check out Farm stores M cross reference. Couple regulars at shows have the F20 pattern, couple earlier ones had straight pipes down, couple had extra muffler added to down pipes with a U pipe- they were noted as modified for quiet field and show use.
