That freezing theory sounds good, but when it hits the warm block it expands before you can get it all the way in. I like to clean the block and if the sleeve won't go 1/3 to 1/2 way in, hone the block untol it will. If you have to tap it down the last part use a flat plate which covers the whole top of the sleeve. Done it for 30 years maybe just dumb luck.
