I'm sure someone will come along with a more definitive answer, but I think Oliver made a 8 bolt hub that will work on a M. I also think they pop up on eBay. Perhaps I am thinking about 9 bolt adaptors. Dunno.
I have machine tools so I would start with 8 spoke 400-450-560 wheel. I would bandsaw through the spokes and mount the hubs on a sawed off axle and further mount the assembly in a lathe.
If I didn't think that the wheel would properly bolt to the hub, I would make a flat adaptor that would sandwich between the wheel and hub.
If you haven't got the tools, this would make a good project for a voke school student taking the machine shop course. Or, you could sign up for the night classes and do it yourself.
