Painting the tractors white like that was a trick commonly used on the larger tractors when the 450s came out. Possibly people did it to these little guys, too.
You would paint it the updated paint scheme so from the road it looked like you had the newest model of tractor. The 140s etc had a paint job similar to that and I would guess that is what they are trying to duplicate.
Using PURE speculation if the repaint was done to reflect the newer tractors you could date the photo to >1956. This was the first year for the 450s.
