I have always put sleeves in the freezer or in some cases packed them in dry ice to shrink them and have never broke one.I think the difference here is how the sleeve is installed.I use the same plug that ive made to pull the sleeve out to pull the sleeve back in.A thin sleeve and a block and hammer just sounds like trouble wainting to happen.
