Tale of Two Coils

I just bought a new 6V coil for my Super H. The new one is not like the old one which is much shorter and smaller in diameter. The problem is that the new one is so large it does not fit into the mounting bracket and it rests on the top of both the hydraulic pump and the distributor.

My options are:

1. Find a coil that is the same dimensions as the old one. I would prefer this. Does anyone have a source?
2. Make a bracket that would "fit" the coil I have and have enough clearance to prevent it from resting on the pump/distributor.

Anyone have any suggestions???
