I would try and find a Marine Alternator. They are sealed for marine use with a internal regulater. Sealed to prevent corrosin and fire. GM engine"s are used in many inboard,inboard outboard boats. 2.5/3.0 liter iron duke"s I4, 4.3 liter V-6, 5.0 liter 305ci V-8, 5.7 liter 350ci V-8, 7.4 liter 454ci V-8, 8.1 liter 502ci V-8. Most will have a high AMP output for running marine electroinc"s. Look for Boats with Mer-Cruser outdrives.
