It's not original, and wont be of any real benefit in this situation, but there IS a paint thats designed for exactly what you're talking about. There's a company that specializes in engine machine tools etc called Goodson(I think? You can probably google them and find the right place) that sells a paint designed to coat the inside surfaces of an engine. On race engines various spots like the lifter valley on a v-type engine is painted, supposed to help the oil drain back to the crankcase easier and also to "seal in" any grit that may be left in the casting. The paint's about the color of red primer when applied.
