Multiple issues in this effort/ There were no 350s with belly pumps. They were distributor drive gear driven hydraulic pumps, between the front cover and the distributor. Second the valve that is needed is a priority valve for power steering. Yes you can use a Delco combo system, but there is no guarantee of the existing innerds working on the Delco generator. There is sure to be compatible components however at a auto electric shop. Using a pulley driven pump is fine, I would recommend against the use of the generator location as it will defeat the eventual return to charging. (your system was likely to be 6v to start with, but there is no telling what is on it now with out looking. If the gen label is red (original red) it is likely 12v. If black. it was 6v. Jim
