Don't take it out right away, although like RB said, there is nothing that will fall off. First, confirm that there is no spark by removing a sparkplug wire and cranking while the wire is real close to a ground connection. If no spark, keep reading. When I bought my F12, there was no spark. I farted around with the magneto for a week and couldn't seem to fix it. I called around locally to the tractor parts dealers and found ONE guy within 75 miles that still knew about magnetos. I took it too him and he had it fixed within an hour. Needed points (which I could have done) and the magnet remagetized (which I couldn't). After a $30 bill, my F12 started right off and has started easy ever since. Make some calls. There are pros out there that don't charge an arm and a leg.
