It should be illegal to work on a tractor without the proper manuals (I don't really care if there are negative comments, the books are smarter than I am). And instructions are in the archives, you have to sort through a lot of stuff, but they are there. Having said that, the initial idle mixture is 1 turn out, main jet adj about 2.5 to 3 turns out. That allows the tractor to start, but you are not done yet. Let the engine warm up, adjust idle mixture in or out until smooth, adjust the idle speed so that it is fast enough not to stumble. Advance the throttle to max speed, turn the main adjusting screw in until the rpm begins to drop, then out until smooth, maybe 1/4 turn more. Lean (in) is better than rich (out). Reduce rpm to idle and rapidly advance to WOT. It should not stumble. If it does repeat the adustment of both idle and main mixtures. If it does not accelerate smoothly, and the you are sure the ignition is ok, you still have carburator problems. DO NOT adjust as some do, main adj out until it smokes, then in until the smoke stops, that will leave your mixture too rich.
