Just want to add that you may have been defrauded. If your tractor has a MV tag, and it was offered for sale as a MV, and if you have gear drive drop boxes, something is not right. If you have buyer's remorse and would rather have your money than the tractor, I believe the auctioneer is obligated to buy it back. Perhaps he should pay you some damages as well as you did haul it home. I don't believe any "as is, where is" disclaimer applies here. If he refuses, I would contact first the state board that licenses auctioneers.
But this is a legal matter and I am not a lawyer nor am I familiar with the law in the state the tractor was sold.
