Hi Russ, there is an interesting book by Robert N Pripps titled " International Harvester Tractor Illustrated Buyers Guide". In the beginning of the book there is a brief but very fact filled story of how IHC came together, there are a lot of more complex books on this subject im sure, but for about fifteen dollars, its very interesting material.
