If the crack isnt realy bad so the block is cracked between the cycls there are different stuff that will last forevr. I have one that they welded and realy made a mess. I ground it down got rid of the mess and then used ruvver cement that they use when installing a new windshield. Let it set in the sun so it got nice and warm then spread the stuff on. That was 10 yrs ago and has been on several rides and other uses no sign of any leak.If tou will rough it some after appling to look like cast it should last forever and you cant even tell its been fixed. The JB will want to run when setting up but you could use a couple of treatments. I have also patched with fiberglass and that works also. Have the one i mow with thats been that way for many yrs and will hold up.
