36's should be cheaper than 38's, at least if they are good tires. Firestone still makes 11.2-36's, saw them in a brochure at my dealer yesterday. 4 plys are good enough, unless you like to run over thorns all the time. 38's will completely mess up your ground speeds, and reduce pulling power. It will also be nose down. And you are going to have trouble finding wheels to fit, C axles are smaller than H axles. You will be messing up your tractor. It is simply not a good idea.
