If it has battery ignition, and a dropping resistor (ballast resistor), bypassing it for starting with a switch will boost starting voltage allowing an instant start. If the switch is tiresome, a 6 amp diode could be placed in a wire from the starter side of the starter switch, allowing starter level voltage to get to the coil side of the resistor, and then not back feed to the starter (which would fry the wires).
