I have been assembling tools for each of my letter series and F series tractors as listed in the Owner's manual. I will tell you that IHC or IH marked tools vary widely in price. I paid $80 for the E4A and F4 mag wrench with integral point and plug guage. Other tools, I have picked up very cheap at flea markets. End goal is to have a complete set of tools for each tractor.
I am pretty much in agreement with what other's have stated. condition is first criteria for price. If you are looking to sell, give the people on this site first crack at it, and make it fair. If the prices offered don't make you happy, then put it on eBay with a reserve of what you want for it. If you still don't get your price, then come back to the good folks here and meet in the middle.........if you do get your price on eBay, then smile and listen to the "cha-ching".....................................
A fair price amongst fellow collector's is always reasonably less than if you are selling straight out. Selling to "Joe Collector" on the open market will get you the highest price, but it may not sell as fast as you would like.
