I use a 706 & 10' batwing to mow various properties over the summer for a little extra $$. Last weekend when I used it, I got to thinking about maybe trading it for a hydro tractor. The 706 is 90% of the time a mowing tractor. Would a 656 hydro be a fair replacement? Keep in mind most places I mow once a year will bog down that 706 pretty hard. The other question is would a 826 be too much tractor? I know it'd have the same motor (310) as mine, but what would the fuel consumption difference be? I think maybe a hydro 86 had the 310 as well? I think I could get 5,000 for the 706, so that'd be the budget for the hydro. Can I get a decent hydro for 5K, or am I asking for problems?
