Bob, I've been doing the Niacin thing for probably 20 years now. I take 750 mg. three times a day (morning, lunch and at bedtime). I rarely have any flushing or other undesirable affects from it. I try to take the first two times each day with a meal if possible. I use the straight stuff and not any time release variety. My pharmacy orders it for me in 1000 tablet bottles in a 500 mg. size so I have to split a tablet to go with a full one. The large bottle costs around $20.00. Along with watching my diet and normal farm exercise I have had very good results and rarely ever test with triglycerides over 70, LDL last time was about like always at 94 and the HDL at the same level of 94. There has never been a liver or kidney test with any inflated values or issues. Seems to work fine for me ever since I started taking it back in 1990. Hope you are doing well also, Hal.
