Hi Ken, I believe both the 2500 and 4500 series are based on the 574 farm tractor and the hoods should fit between a 2500 and 4500. The major differences were in the drive line, clutch and transmissions, hydro or gear drive. In the case of the 4500 forklift the operator platform is reversed. There should be a serial number on the engine on left side on flat spot by the oil filter mount. Maybe difficult to see with the side rails. The D-239 engine was used in many applications, 574,674,684,695.
