If the starter had any sort of tag one might trace it down to 6 or 12 volt but even thats no guarantee a shop might have converted it. If I was a gambler Id bet it never got changed or converted and can only say from experience, which just cant be accurately described over the net, if it spins really realy fast and kicks in hard its likely a 6 volt starter. Heck if you use say a 2 gauge Cable youre sort of splitting the difference and couldnt go to wrong regardless of what Jim or Bob or myself advise, I just would NOT use a real high 1000 CCA battery, Id venture to say a 525 CCA is plenty..... It will work with a 4 gauge cable n it will work with a 1 gauge, a No 2 is a good medium guess not knowing all the particulars
