get plenty of weight to the front so it stays stable and I don't see the problem. As long as you have a few miles before you get into town load it and haul it, back of the truck should squat some to glue it to the road. I pull a 36ft travel trailer in the summer that weighs right around 11,000 and it is a bumper hitch, use your head and you will be fine.
