Farmall 340: three bottom plow ~34 hp four cylinder

Farmall 460: four bottom plow ~46 hp - the first six cylinder engine for IH

Farmall 560: five bottom plow ~60 hp - the first six cylinder engine for IH

these were produced from 1958 through 1963

This info from IH literature and a check on the tractordata dot com web site will show close to these figures looking at what is claimed and the test results.

Many breeds of tractors - I seem to recall reading on this site - at one time probably used some type of designation for numbered series that a common person could figure things out, then...?????
