I know one of the guys that did the Super C square dancing in the 50s. He was a zone manager at the time. They spent a lot of time practicing. He told of when they first practiced swinging their partners, which ment pivioting with one brake locked, the circle wasn't big enough and the front ends were a little too close in the middle and they crashed. Several of the tractors broke in the clutch housing. He said there was quite a pile of tin and clutch housings before they got it perfected. There are tapes of the original square dance available. I've got one.
