Part of this has been answered before, probably not all. 3 questions: 1) Is the felt seal installed dry, or soaked in oil first? -- I have read this both ways. 2)There are 2 cork gaskets between the upper and lower retainers, one on each side. They are about the width of each side of the retainer, but also extend over the felt if the gaskets are not trimmed. I assume they are not trimmed? 3)Is the felt trimmed to exactly fit the retainers, or is it supposed to be compressed when tightened. I assume it is compressed? Thanks in advance.
