Thanks for the response. I took my own advice and did a good check in the archives and found two really deep discussions on the workings and adjustment of the VR.
I guess my tractor heard the long discussion we had here in the last week on the Bosch VR. I normally get about 5 years out of a battery on my 300U's but one just failed on me with only 2 1/2 years on it.
Just out of warrantee, go figure.
I have decided to give one more 6v battery a chance. If it doesn't hold up this winter for snowplowing then I will convert the system to 12v. Actually there is a complete stock system for the 350U available. I like the way my stock coil is mounted horizontal on top of the distributor with the two small wires on one end and the large wire on the other.
