What drives me nuts is many adds do not have a price. I like to know id something is within my budget without bugging the man.
I've had good deals and great deals, bought these old tractors for 2 to 5oo bucks. but its rare.
I attempted to sell a restore able 1952 super c that ran but smoked. I know for a fact the tractor had never been overhauled, and I told them on the phone it smoked some. it had great tires....I asked $850
Well the kid and his uncle came down. The uncle picked that little tractor apart. claiming it came with wheel weights, and fenders. I explained it was an option. the kid drove it around the field.
He scared the kid from the sale. when the kid walked off, the old uncle asked me,"hey does the PTO work? I said you just seen it work! then he saked what was the least I'd take. I told him that I wouldn't sell it to him if he offered $1500, and he needed to leave NOW!
If I sense someone really needs something I'll come down a bit....but if I think they are low balling, I'll just run them off. never mind the fact the uncle was driving a brand new King ranch diesel!
