James, I bought a new group 24 or 27 12 volt battery earlier this year from our Co-Op type store (MFA) which sells good rugged farm equipment batteries and as I recall it was something like $130. Prior to that the last one I remember getting was a large non-typical size for a Ford 5610 diesel tractor and it was about the same amount a couple of years earlier from my Ford New Holland dealer. All of my 6 volt batteries are probably around five years old or more so I might be surprised when I have to replace one it sounds, Hal.
