I can't say it is the plugs, but many people stay away from Champion Plugs. I have come to the same opinion and have quit using Champion. It seems like I get much better performance from AutoLite 3116 plugs. If the problem is the ignition, it could be a bad condenser or coil causing a cold spark. Are you using resistive plug wires? What's the condition of the engine? Have you checked compression? I am not a real believer in additives, but I have heard that SeaFoam is a good overhaul in a can. SeaFoam may help resolve sticky rings or valves if low compression is the problem. K-Mo
