for example if it is something like 3 5 X that means the part was cast the 3rd month, 5th day of 1952. r 1948 s 1949 t 1950 u 1951 v not used w 1951 x 1952 y 1953
If the year "letter" is the same on the engine and the rest of the tractor, there is a 90% chance it;s the original engine. it's common for the month and day to be different
