I grew up in the '50 driving IH letter series tractors. We bought a new '54 SM which was my favorite tractor. I always regretted trading it off bak in 1971. Currently I have a SMTA, a '53 Stage 1 SM, a '53 State II Louisville SM, and a '49 M that I play with.
I still farm, along with my son, and have always been mainly IH & now CIH equipment. We've owned a few green tractors (4020, 4640, & a 8310) over the years but always end up going back to red. Currently owned CIH tractors are a'09 MX 275 & a '91 7140 mfd.
D. Slater, thanks for the correction. When I read agpilot's original post I just grabbed Guy's book out of the desk drawer and turned to the SM listings. I should have paid more attention.
